An Induction To Remember

“I solemnly swear”

Monday. The beginning of the school week. In which I know, some students would rather sleep. Hi! I'm Ashley Mionette Macaraniag, A gr. 11-Humss student.

Now where do I start?

Monday was nothing but just a discussion. I also remember having a fever that time. I was not feeling well, but I was able to attend my class. My classes was just introduction of new lessons, nothing new and neither something for the hype. But that was until the announcement, “The Oath taking of club officers will take place” said by the officers. We the pagayaya dancers was also invited for the opening salvo.

“From behind”

TUESDAY

I started the day being irritated. My fever cooled down, however, I had to bear my hoarse voice and having a cough was not helping. After lunch, as we were having an activity, I was excused for practice. Even though for me it was a bad day, it went on well. By that, I meant no accident happened.

WEDNESDAY

The oath taking ceremony is fast approaching, that they had to excused me for a whole day practice. I was not happy about it. It bothers me on how will I manage my time. I was busy that day. Imagine, while recording, I was also researching for our upcoming presentation. It was an exhausting day for me. I didn’t get enough time to rest but luckily survived the day. After our practice, I was able to rest at the sm’s rooftop, until I fell asleep. later on, I collected my thoughts getting ready for tomorrow.

“Clap the beat”

THURSDAY

It was the day of induction. Having a hoarse voice, I was able to discuss my topic well. But that wasn’t the exciting part at all. After the presentation, I changed my clothes getting ready for the ceremony. That was it. Few minutes and the program started. As the music played, I poured my heart dancing and I enjoyed every minute of that moment.

After dancing for the opening remarks, I solemnly sweared to serve my people and to do the duties of my responsibility.
